Pay it forward

At PunchStrong we understand everyone is different and has a different makeup. Some are born with natural physical attributes that lean towards sport and fitness, some are born with a strong determined mind and focus to achieve what they want…and some don’t.

We are not all the same

We are trying to understand what makes people get up and have the motivation and will power needed to take their mind and body to the level, a level they are happy with. It’s not about being perfect, in our eyes it’s about being at a level you’re happy with to give you the confidence and health to achieve the things you want. As we always say, PunchStrong is a way of thinking, it’s a mentality to use in all aspects of living. We won’t all be the next Jon Jones or Usain Bolt, but as long as we are happy, what more do we need?

There seems to be quite a difference between those who get up and make that change to reach their goals, and those who really want to but somehow hold themselves back.

Be realistic

Is this because the goal seems too large and along with the daunting task of failure it appears to big to start? Maybe?

Is this because the goal is unrealistic? Possibly?
It this because some people don’t dedicate realistic time within their diary? Probably.
Is this because they don’t want to change or improve enough? We don’t think so!

PunchStrong Army

But there is a visible difference in the attitude between these two groups. At PunchStrong we want to motivate both types of people, let’s call this The PunchStrong Army. We have talked about the PunchStrong Army in past blogs, it’s a collection of people whether they know it or not, who have strong minds and/or strong body’s or people who want to have strong minds or strong bodies.

You all know people who do achieve their goals and people who struggle. Let’s pay it forward. Let’s acknowledge all the PunchStrong people out there who are achieving, improving, conquering themselves and generally smashing it up! But let’s also show support and motivate the people who still have the journey to complete. Don’t let your ego get in the way and assume you are better because you have achieved your target sooner. Be a leader, show the PunchStrong way and guide those who find it harder. They will thank you for it.

Final thoughts

If you are reading this you want to be healthy and happy, so make this the start of something new.

Big or small a challenge is a challenge, break it down into smaller weekly, daily targets with clear milestones, it’s not always productive to look at the master goal. No matter what your age or starting health position there is always something more you can do.

This is an ongoing journey with fun to be had along the way. And if you have already achieved this great, now start helping others achieve their targets too. They get fit and you get a new training partner… Win Win.

For those who are struggling. Take 5 minutes, take a step back and focus on what you want, and what is realistically achievable in the time you have. It can start with as little as 30mins of exercise per day along with a sensible diet. Keep smashing it! Get PunchStrong!
